The Teegarden (Centennial) Covered Bridge

The Teegarden Covered Bridge Located in Columbiana County, the Teegarden Covered Bridge is also known as the Centennial Covered Bridge because it was built in 1876.

The bridge is 67 feet long, has a multiple kingpost truss with concrete abutments and a shake roof that needs some repair, the wooden siding is multicolored from sporadic replacement. The bridge crosses the Middle

Fork of Little Beaver Creek.
It is situated next to a small park that appears to have a carbonated spring, actually a deserted natural gas well, that lies 600 feet below the ground. In the area of Little Beaver Creek, the stream is polluted and no fishing is permitted. The park has an excellent vantage point to observe the bridge, as the creek bank is kept clear of brush and trees.

Directions: Salem Township. From Lisbon, SR 45 north, two miles, left on T 761 (Eagleton Road), two miles.
